My name is Xochitl Melanie (Xochitl means "flower" in Nahuatl), and I am a London-born artist shaped by the vibrant cultural influences of Mexico, Spain, France, and the USA. Growing up in these rich environments gave me a deep appreciation for diverse artistic traditions and perspectives, which profoundly inform my work.

At the heart of my practice is abstract art—a medium that allows me to transcend the boundaries of form and explore the emotional currents of color, texture, and shape. Through my dynamic mixed media pieces, I create visual narratives that invite you to interpret and feel in your unique way.

Much of my inspiration comes from travel. The weathered textures of ancient facades, the interplay of light and shadow across landscapes, and the natural movement of color in nature all find their way into my art. Each brushstroke or layer reflects a moment, a memory, or an emotion, bringing an element of storytelling to my work.

Beyond abstract art, I enjoy exploring ceramics and photography. These mediums offer tactile and visual dimensions that complement the fluidity of my paintings, pushing me to experiment and innovate while staying grounded in sensory experiences.
